Break has been good. I made 2 films, wrote a book, and wrote 3 songs with my old band. Blah, it sounds like I've been busy, but really I haven't been doing very much at all...
So, BECAUSE I don't have my journal here in IL with me, I am going to do my resolution sheet here.
Things I've said this holiday that I wish I didn't have to say:
1.) There's a huge hole in your pants...I can see your butt.
2.) Feast has only one E.
3.) Where is my _____? (Insert many various things...I seem to be losing lots of stuff lately.)
Things I've done this season that were fun:
1.) played with Baby Pablo in Wal Mart
2.) played guitar with Tony, Pasternak, and Devon.
3.) brought Joey Crowe back to life.
4.) bought 'crunk juice' (that fancy carbonated grape juice that you give little kids on holidays.) with Jess and Logan, then had a drinking contest. (I lost)
5.) wrote a letter that i would never send. I threw it away.
6.) Played in a high school christmas concert.
7.) learned more of other languages and sang songs in other languages.
8.) came home and spent the holiday with my friends and family!
Things i'm thankful for this holiday:
1.) My friends and family.
2.) a place to live
3.) good food
4.) peace and love
5.) great music.
6.) the ability to make someone smile.
7.) words.
8.) horribly out-of-tune pianos.
9.) HEAT!! Warmth!
10.) everything and anything I may have forgotten to write here.
Things I will improve upon in the coming year/ RESOLUTIONS!
1.) no more chewing my nails. i like them short, but i can use clippers like normal people...<<;;
2.) more exercise! and more water!
3.) have a better attitude toward everything, and make people happy by being happy myself!
Ok, everyone, are YOU ready for the new year?

There'll be parties for hosting, marshmallows for toasting, and caroling out in the snow.
Oh, man, is it cold outside.
Last night I wrote this blog entry while I couldn't sleep:

So, everyone, it's me again. I just wanted to tell you 'Hi' and stuff. Hey, how is your break?
my hands are frozen...it's below 32 degrees here...below freezing...man, when did I become such a temperature pansy?
when i lived in arkansas for 5 or so months...that's when.
so anyway, the other day I went back to my old high school for a visit. I didn't tell anyone, I just walked right into classes, met up with a few people, exicted the whole friggin choir. They were rehearsing for their christmas concert, and I walked in right after one of their songs...i was tackled by about half of them. MC handed me some 2nd trumpet music and told me that i would be playing in the christmas concert. "oh goody." i thought, but i did pretty damn good for not even seeing the music as long as those poor lil high/grade schoolers. (music learned in approx 1 hour.) it was good to play actual trumpet music again, even if it was a 2nd part...aah love.
so, now we fast-forward to the concert. I was stressed, not because i didnt practice, but i couldn't find my shirt and my family kept hovering (i love you guys, but really...it made me more nervous than necessary...) and i just wanted to get the whole thing over and done with.
sooo, because i was stressed, i went to school and talked with a few people...who immediately burst into gut-wrenching laughter...
so somehow when i get stressed, i get an arkansas twang in my voice. and apparently, it's friggin hilarious.
so lately i've been thinking a lot about my college. i miss it a lot, the campus and all my awesome friends. I love my house, my hometown and my best friends in the world, but there's just something about my new home. it's my home now, and it's a different home than this one. whatever, difficult to explain.
christmas is coming so very swiftly, and i haven't started to buy christmas presents yet...oh mah gash, there are SOOOO many people to buy for this year...i made a list and almost died reading it...;_; so i think the solution is to just get little gift bags and christmas candy for the majority of the names on the list...there's no way i can buy personal gifts for everyone, I'm sorry!
so we are thinking of learning more languages.
HAHAHAHAHAahahahahahaaaa...'we'...(snort) that was such a bad video game reference, nobody will ever realize what the heck i'm talking about.
***so we are thinking about a new hairstyle.
PAHAHAHAHA actually, this is completely correct. I got bleach. I got pink. Let's destroy my head! >v<> so now it's like 2pm...this is a long entry. I admit, its been a while since i've updated, but really...not much has happened at all! I've been doing sit ups every day...but that really isn't news...<<;; it's embarassing. and it's still cold. i watched Maury and Jerry today on tv, and ate some noodles and cookies, and listened to my classical music cds that i most unfortunately left at home. listening to chopin's fantasie impromptu reminds me a lot of Anna, saying "My goal is to play this!"
but anyway, i'm writing a story. so far, i wrote a few pages, and then drew a comic after it....it takes so much more time to actually write it than to draw it, but it's better...man.
have a great holiday everyone, you'll hear from me again soon! <3 Joy

It's that time again.
So, I have roughly 2 days before I'm back in my own house again! Yay!
But there's a few things that I'm going to miss this coming month:
1.) All 0f my friends!
2.) It sounds weird, but the high speed internet...haha!
3.) Cable! Especially Boy Meets World! >_<
4.) The availability of pianos with pedals...(drools)
So, although I'll be overwhelmed beyond coherence by the fact that I'll actually be sleeping in my own bed, I'll still miss Ozarks this month.
Happy Holidays, I'll be thinking about you! (Because most likely, you're on my list to recieve some kind of Christmas present ;) )

Satisfaction, I can get...no....satisfaction...what?
Heheheh, today is going to be a good day.
Last night I wrote 3 papers, went to a play (which was amazing!), and yesterdayI judged 2 films that were student produced and just really cool! I had a great time.
This morning I woke up at 6 to go and work at the Reality Store at Clarksville High school, which was actually really fun. I was there for 2 hours and it felt like I was in high school again, lol. This one kid gave me problems on how much the house cost, and I was like, "I could always just put you in a shack and charge you a million dollars!" (Jennifer's idea) hahaha, and he was like, "i was just kidding, put me down for a three bedroom house."
Anna's leaving for the weekend or for a few days, so I will be alone, but that's ok, i have lots of studying to do.
Have a great day everyone! -Joy

"I'm a sigher."
Mood:
The other day in CI class, Robyn sighed. "I'm a sigher."
I feel like this now, and it's spreading from the tips of my toes up to the crevices of my brain. It's a sigh.
It's the upcoming rush of dread that comes with finals week, the tiredness that accompanies the many recent choir concerts we've been performing at. The stress of my first real piano recital... I wish my family will be there to watch me, but they won't be, so there's no real use in being upset over it.
Wouldn't you know it, there's never a real use in being upset, but it still happens. Haha!
Christmas is so extremely close, I can smell it. It's like a wind, you know it's coming because you can see the tops of the highest trees moving ever so slightly...you can never tell exactly when, though. It's uncertain until you're sitting at home and there's only one day left of vacation. "...Yea, this is Christmas Break."

And the next day, you return to school (in my case, the next 2 days, due to travel) with the sadness of having to leave your family. It's going to be so hard because this time I know I will have such a short time with them. My family and the friends I consider my family...God, how I've missed them.
I'll work hard for them. Sigh.
